      Responsibilities:
      - Analyze research applications and conduct in-depth review to ensure IRB submissions meet all regulatory criteria for approval or exemption.
      - Resolve identified issues by corresponding with investigators, coordinators, and/or appropriate study personnel.
      - Provide consultation to IRB members, investigators, and research staff/students regarding meeting conduct requirements, institutional policies and procedures, and state/federal regulations.
      - Maintain working knowledge of current federal and state regulations, guidelines, and trends influencing the conduct of human subjects’ research.
      - Attend and participate in monthly convened IRB meetings.

      Required Skills:
      - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of Education and IRB experience, preferably in the social sciences.
      - Minimum one year of IRB related experience.
      - Excellent organization and interpersonal skills.
      - Ability to work with a wide-variety of staff in a consistently professional and service-oriented manner.
      - Basic knowledge of the principles, processes, and methods of survey research through reading literature and experience in the field.
      - Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment often with competing deadlines.
      - Ability to maintain strict standards of confidentiality in dealing with protected information.
      - General knowledge of federal regulations and ethical principles related to the ethical conduct of human subjects’ research.
